The pic says ‘a rare case of convergent evolution’ but maybe they mean ‘for humans’, or perhaps they’re just click baiting. Convergent evolution is quite common and there’s a list on Wikipedia of examples.

Fun fact I burned off three of my right hand fingerprints in an accident once. It fucking sucked and really hurt but now they are reallly smooth and kinda hard.
I have no discernable difference in gripping / friction between either hand at all and it still feels totally normal.
Mmmm but if I show you a paracas skull with 2 pin holes in the back no crack in the middle like we have, 50% bigger eye sockets, 25% more brain volume and almost double in weight you tell me *inconclusive*

Why didn’t they show a finger print with the same type of pattern. There’s only three: triangle, circular swirl and loopy swirl(technical names). Fun fact: 9 of my fingers have the loopy swirl, but randomly my left pointer finger has the triangle pattern.
