Former Navy pilot here with a background in underwater acoustics / ASW, and I’ve gone down a rabbit hole that I can’t quite let go of.
Why do ancient sacred structures across unrelated cultures keep converging on similar themes:
- resonance
- geometry
- chant / sound
- star alignment
- altered states / ritual
I recently dug into:
- the Hypogeum in Malta
- Newgrange
- pyramid chamber resonance
- cymatics / Chladni patterns
- Gregorian chant acoustics
I’m not claiming certainty here—genuinely exploring whether ancient builders understood something about resonance that we’ve mostly forgotten.
Wrote a longer piece here if anyone’s curious:

Would genuinely love counterarguments, sources, or smarter takes.
