Fresh after clinching a South Central Conference title, the Greenville Comets baseball team notched win number 20 for the season Wednesday.

The Comets knocked off the Okawville Rockets 12-2 on the GHS field.

Drake Curry exceled on the mound, pitching six innings and striking out 12 Okawville batters for the win.

Cannon Hamel and Rowdy Sussenbach drove in two runs each.  Players recording  two hits were Drake Graber, Curry, Dayton Oliver, Dominic Sanchez, and Trey Melton.  Sussenbach and Hamel also hit safely.

The victory improved the varsity Cxomets’ record  to 20-7.  They play Monday at home against Cowden Herrick-Beecher City and go to North Clay on Tuesday.
