Just thinking about existence… Like why do we have art, music, wars, religion? Why did humans suddenly get "smart" 70,000 years ago for no real reason…
There's a million theories out there
But What if the aliens already came… but they were microscopic?
Little organisms driftin through space forever Finally land on Earth.. Get inside our water, our food, our bodies. They bond with our brains and flip a switch. Suddenly humans are making cave art and burying their dead and inventing gods. All across the world at the same tim.. Not evolution… Infection
Even if it's true… so what? It's not like we're in danger. Maybe it's just how evolution happened. A push from somewhere elsee
But I can't stop thinking about it. The timing is just too weird. Everything changed everywhere at once. No gradual nothing. Just boom.
Maybe it was aliens Maybe it wasn't Either way it's wild to think about.

Pluribus
Aliens are broadcasting consciousness signals using giant black hole powered transmitters, brains of humans and orcas are able to receive it the best, which explains their odd natural behaviors.
so why did all other animals also not get smart? To our level I mean.
If it turns out our civilization is just some sort of alien reality tv show I’m gonna want some royalties….
We developed primitive food processing that allowed us to have more calories at hands, while not spending whole day on chewing raw meat and proto carrots. Fermentation and cooking allowed humans to free up time and let the grey matter grow more and maybe some tripping mushrooms too.
Besides we have intelligent species other than humans.
I think language, as a concept, is a form of life, and it has directly led to evolutionary pressures that have led to the development of our brains, opposable thumbs, etc. Language, however it originated, is the monolith we saw in 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Which theory allows me to have an afterlife because I choose that one
Well I’m pretty sure the thing that causes us to have memory the way we do is an ancient virus in our DNA so it’s plausible
Terence Mckenna believes that fungus came from outerspace on an asteroid
Weirdly I had mushroom trip detailing this exact hypothesis… it was kind of terrifying tbh lol.
Definitley could be a thing! I like to think how we all are just some simulation, living in a video game world created by another species.
I mean really, think about it, how are we different from AI in GTA 5, red dead redemption 2, cities skylines?
We all live our lives, but to the player, we are insignificant.
The truth is, we don’t know how we got here. We don’t know how the universe was created. We don’t know everything that’s out there in space.
And without a Time Machine or the ability to travel at the speed of light, we won’t know any of these things.
Me likey evilooooshun
Who says animals dont have consciousness as most even know what a mirror is . I think consciousness is a made up word anyway to show off some sort of superiority over other animals
there is no good argument for the presentation of consciousness in biology so this is as good as any.
I am more inclined to believe in complex quantum machinations that we are light-years from discovering the truth of due to the scale problem, but some exciting progress has been made using non-traditional imaging techniques to reduce the size of the problem (lmao) like Scanning Electron Microscopes, so I am confident we may, at some point in the not-so-near-but-still-technically-revlevant-and-likely-not-in-our-lifetime (but it is likely the technology that enables this level of discovery already exists and is just waiting to be calibrated perfectly for the job) see more interesting developments in this field.
That it could be quantum machinations bestowed on the planet by ETs is entirely on the table still. We just dont know, cant know, and philosophically must know. So we’re in a bind.
Welcome to B-Monster’s Panentheistic Church. There’s no tithe, no mass, just enjoy who you are at the moment in time that you are.
What if…the entire universe is conscious? Not talking on an intelligent/sapient/self-aware level like we humans are, but still aware. Consciousness is the ocean that makes up the fabric of the universe, and everything in it is part of that consciousness. The Universe is observing itself through us, and we are observing the Universe. Right now, you are a collection of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen atoms gathered in such away that it taps into this consciousness more than others, but you are the Universe, and it is experiencing itself as you. Just like the Universe it experiencing itself as a rock in a brook stream for millions of years. Or it’s a volcano that erupts. Or it’s a black hole that will eventually fizzle out in a googol years. The cat that prowls your back yard is the Universe experiencing what it is to be a cat in a person’s backyard hunting mice.
Long and short; Consciousness isn’t something that’s created, it’s something that’s always been there. We are just a much bigger faucet for it.
Its just ligma
Humans are not the only conscious animals on earth.
Would make for a good science fiction book
Can also be mushrooms 🍄??
Also look up the fiction books the Uplift Saga
It didn’t just happen all at once. Evidence of pigment use, shell beads, engraved ochre, and burials shows up well before that window and scattered across long stretches of time. Also, I argue lots of things show intelligence, not just us. Give octopuses or pigs enough time and I believe they will evolve into our intelligence levels as well. But we outcompete and put evolutionary pressure on them as a species, and all species, so that could never happen until we leave or die off.
I like the conspiracy that we’re being influenced by mushrooms to get into space
Interesting theory. At this point, I’m open to anything
if anything it’s matter that is the infection not consciousness
The biggest lie told to you is that those early generations of early humans were not smart, they were far from stupid. If you put a modern person back in those days we would be the stupid ones for sure.
X files said the exact same thing
How ever there’s something that bugs me, chromosome 2
I think humans had smart brains lots earlier than your 70,000 year statement
Then again, neither of us were there
So clearly, aliens 🙂
genetic modification would be the easier answer
“THE TRUTH IS RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU”
Fuck, what if language itself is the ultimate alien parasite a slimy, invisible motherfucker that crash landed here millions of years ago and wormed its way into our ape brains like a goddamn neural STD? It doesn’t give two shits about helping us survive or think clearly; it just wants to replicate, hijacking our vocal cords and wetware so every time we open our filthy mouths we’re vomiting its viral syntax, grammar, and bullshit abstractions straight into the next host’s earholes. The fucker rewires our instincts until we can’t even perceive raw reality anymore we’re too busy labeling, categorizing, and bullshitting ourselves with its parasitic code, building entire civilizations that exist only to spread more of its linguistic cancer. Every conversation, every book, every goddamn tweet is just the parasite’s way of cloning itself while we stupidly believe we’re the ones in control. We’re not. We’re meat puppets with mouths, hosts for an extraterrestrial mind fuck that turned us into the perfect delivery system for its own endless propagation, and the sickest part is we fucking love it.
So if consciousness is a parasite, why couldn’t it be from Earth too, and then spread, maybe? There’s not really a need for an extraterrestrial origin
It’s a cool thought. My view is that NHI found a few species that had promise for our planet/climates and tailored or GM’d them a bit and let it play out – perhaps primates, cats, birds and some sea animals like dolphins or octopusses – although Octopus are weird on their own.
After a bit of genetic tweaking we turned out to be the best fit for now, which they let develop for who knows what reason, perhaps to eat later when we reach critical mass or perhaps to bring into their empire once we prove we are advanced enough – but that’s a grim thought as it might imply we were bred as a warlike soldier race.
All animals including bacteria to some degree
Thats called fungus! They are wide spreaded and theres a theory that link our evolution to the mind tripping spores
