(NewsNation) — President Donald Trump ordered the release of UFO files previously kept classified on a government website.
The move is a step toward disclosure of UAPs, a focus of a bipartisan push in Congress.
The files include never-before-seen video of reported UAP incidents.

8-pointed star UAP
One such video from U.S. Central Command is a 1-minute, 46-second recording from an infrared sensor aboard a U.S. military platform. Captured in 2013, the video shows an area of contrast resembling an eight-pointed star.
2020 UAP sighting
Captured infrared footage from 2020, reported by U.S. Central Command, shows an object passing through the sensor’s field of view.
An area of contrast enters the sensor field of view from the bottom-left quarter of the screen, follows a generally linear path from the bottom to the top, and exits from the top-left quarter. (U.S. Department of War)

2023 sighting
Infrared sensor footage from a U.S. Central Command report in 2023 showed an object flying above the surface of the ocean and making multiple 90-degree turns at about 80 miles per hour.

2024 sighting
Central Command video from an infrared sensor, taken in 2024, shows an unidentified object with a vertical pole or bar attached to the bottom.
An area of contrast visually resembling an inverted teardrop with a vertically linear trailing mass suspended below remains generally within the center of the sensor field-of-view throughout the video. (Department of War)

2024 orb sighting
Three videos from full-motion video cameras, captured in 2024 and reported by Central Command, showed a ball of white light.
Videos in Gif: PR31 – An indistinctly shaped multi-colored area moves from right to left across the top edge of the sensor display within the first second of the video; PR32 – An area of irregular color and brightness, mainly consisting of white and red highlights, appears near the center of the top edge of the sensor display; PR33 – Two semi-transparent, irregularly shaped orange areas overlay the background imagery, persisting for less than two seconds each. 2022 UAP sighting in urban area
An infrared sensor video from Central Command shows a UAP seen flying over a populated area of Iraq.
The video depicts an area of contrast moving from the bottom left to the top right of the sensor field-of-view. At approximately six seconds, the area of contrast leaves the sensor field-of-view near the top right corner of the frame. (Department of War)
2023 sighting during mission
Another infrared sensor video from Central Command shows a UAP spotted during a mission.

2024 UAP sighting over Greece
Multiple sensors captured images of a diamond-shaped UAP moving at around 434 knots.
The screen is split into two viewing areas for the first ten seconds of the video, with the right side displaying electro-optical footage and the left side displaying SWIR footage. (Department of War)
