Marah McGinn did it with her bat and with her pitching arm to lead the Comets to victory over Rutland on Thursday, May 7. At the plate, McGinn was 4 for 4 with two doubles, a triple, and a home run. She scored five times and drove in five runs. In the pitching circle, she threw a 1-hitter with 9 K’s in five innings.
Nora Tatro chipped in two doubles, two walks, and three RBI. Megan Gonyeau, Irie Shedd, and Molly Parah also had two hits with doubles.
The Comets move to 6-0 on the season and will host Mount Mansfield Union on Saturday, May 9, at 11 a.m.
