**submission statement:** i took the liberty of screencapping these cool old UFO pics from the presentation by Wendelle C Stevens uploaded on Youtube by the Alien Archive channel.

I think the images have aesthetic value all on their own, showing the intrusion of the anomalous into seemingly mundane urban and wilderness settings, with bonus a e s t h e t i c vintage camera fuzz/color palette- but the presentation is also worth listening to, as Stevens gives lots of interesting info from the circumstances surrounding each photo, relics from an earlier era of UFO studies.

I feel like in the current Disclosure hype, we lose sight of the fact that this has been a worldwide mass media phenomenon for as long as mass media has existed, with thousands and thousands of sightings and encounters reported on mainstream media outlets worldwide.

Things like the 2024 winter drone wave used to happen multiple times per year, and traveling to the site of “UFO flaps” was a fun pastime for teenagers and UFO buffs, as detailed by John Keel in “the Mothman Prophecies” and other books.

The presentation by Mr. Stevens is worth a watch- it contains many interesting reports of close encounters, including direct contact with UFO inhabitants and USOs emerging from the ocean, and other fun stuff.

It breaks my heart to say it because, as a kid, I absolutely loved my UFO books with pictures like these in them…but…they’re almost all so bad.

  3. very interesting to see how the phenomenon has evolved over time! or rather how there was a distinct look to the craft in decades past, whereas we don’t seem to see them like this anymore

will check out the video you linked, thank you for sharing
