Witnessed around 4.29pm over Warsop, Mansfield. Looks like the beluga plane. Was moving due east. In a uniform line. No noise. Moving slowish. I could not focus on it at all which leads me to believe it was way higher than it appeared. Lower objects are usually easier to focus on.

Any thoughts?

I’m sorry i rarely ever post so not sure if i have submitted the post correctly.

  2. Nice catch. There has to be a pretty damn good reason to turn your transponder off…

Looks like the Airbus Beluga, basically a big ass plane used to carry other planes

  4. You can clearly make out all the feature of a plane in the first image. I don’t even understand.

  5. It’s an Airbus A330-743L Beluga XL. Specifically F-GXLN from Chester Hawarden Airport to Hamburg Finkenwerder Airport. It’s currently just over the Netherlands.

  6. There was a tracking service I found better than flightradar…I’m annoyed I don’t recall its name.

But yes, quite often planes aren’t on flightradar.

  7. It’s not unusual to not show up on flight radar. It’s not unusual to not hear an airplane at 30-40k feet. It’s not unusual to not make contrails, it’s atmosphere dependent.

It’s a fucking airplane. And very clearly the beluga.

You are the problem with these subs

I got to see one of these things fly below me on a flight from London to Malta. I thought I was hallucinating.
