I had a vivid dream in which I was visited by two cosmic beings/aliens. I tried looking at them intently but no matter how much I tried to focus I could only make out a watercolor-like image of them. the background to them was the cosmos signifying their origin (i.e. beyond the ordinary). the first one tried speaking but it came out a garbled mess. the second one (with a bit of a huff) stepped in and spoke – we could understand much more easily, about 90% of what it was saying. it told us humans needed to learn to communicate with each other. we were essentially deaf, dumb, and blind. so it taught us the technique that all advanced beings use: telepathy. to do this we must first focus our mind with the thought then once coherent transmit that thought using the heart’s magnetism as a carrier wave. this being paired us humans into groups then had us practice. we all got the hang of it quickly, some crying, some laughing, some making games of it back and forth like a jazz duet playing back and forth riffing.
upon awakening I ruminated on the message and I thought of how necessary it is for humans to develop this skill to become a supercivilization. just as ants can build wonderful structures and do amazing things with their coordination so too will humans if we can learn to think, communicate, love, and play with harmony.
(neither the human beings nor the cosmic beings in this image match the dream but the feel of it matches the dream fairly well so I chose it over all the other images that were generated.)

Telepathy is a double edged sword. Imo
Could be used for good, could be disastrous, and anywhere in between.
Also depends on the type of telepathy. Reception or projection, or both? What is being transmitted? Thoughts/concepts? Audio? Visualizations? SMELL?
Can you imagine? Your buddy transmitting the smell of his own fart to you just by concentrating on you really hard while he is in the presence of his own noxious gas?
I know that sounds ridiculous, but honestly, we dont know.

Don’t forget what happened when Gilligan found that plant with the seeds that let him and the other castaways read each others minds and they all started arguing when they found out what they really thought of each other and he went back and burned the plant. If it was bad on Gilligans Island it might be bad on a larger scale.
