David Wilcock, 53, prominent UFO researcher, author & disclosure advocate has reportedly died by suicide on April 20, 2026 near Nederland, Colorado.
Boulder County Sheriff’s Office: Deputies responded to a 911 call at ~10:44 a.m. on Ridge Road. A man in mental health crisis, outside a residence and holding a weapon, used it on himself within minutes of contact. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Wilcock was a major voice in ufology. Not a traditional field investigator, but a prolific researcher, lecturer, filmmaker and New York Times bestselling author (The Source Field Investigations). He co-hosted Cosmic Disclosure on Gaia, claimed telepathic ET contact, and was seen by some as Edgar Cayce’s reincarnation. He also served as Director of Advanced Technology and board member at Stavatti Aerospace, where he promoted next-gen military fighters, exotic propulsion and advanced aerospace concepts.

Yea that wasn’t suicide.
Wtf is happening. I still see his face on Nat Geo TV talking about UFO’s and mysteries constantly. But realistically. Sometimes it’s hard to tell how someone’s situation really is from the outside. One could be dying on the inside without showing it. sad news for sure.
I don’t want to be that guy, but if people who talk about UFOs and people who work on classified projects are supposed to be immune to personal tragedies, then every time something bad happens to them (and bad things are liable to happen to all of us) people are going to create a conspiracy about it. That doesn’t sound right.

The fact his biographer died two days prior is sussy.
He must not have thought disclosure was coming anytime soon.
This guy has been known for spreading false or misinformation to peddle books and movies he’s been a part of for years. this was a genuine suicide. people will just try to connect this to recent string of deaths and disappearances because they share the same general topic.
its one thing to be a proven PhD holding scientist or a string of them that is actively pushing boundaries in the pertaining field and finding or having evidence that defies our conventional/public understanding then wind up missing or dead with two holes in your head being a “suicide”
and its a whole other thing when you’re a civilian repeating conflicting conspiracy theories and misinformation from the 80s so you can make money on your books and someone calls the cops because you’re audibly or visibly losing your shit outside or inside your residential house and you have a firearm.
Not a suicide
It’s obviously a sad situation. I believe that, out of respect for his family and those close to him, we should approach the news with a level of human decency.
That being said, being respectful doesn’t mean we should ignore the very complicated and often problematic legacy he left behind in the UFO community. To keep things in perspective, we have to remember that:
* He claimed to be the reincarnation of Edgar Cayce.
* He spent years making prophecies about “The Ascension” and the 2012 Maya calendar that never came to pass, only to move the goalposts once the deadlines expired.
* He was a primary promoter of Corey Goode, who was eventually exposed as a total fraud.
* He claimed to receive messages from the archangel Michael.
* He raked in millions of dollars selling books and subscriptions based on these absurdities.
So, we can feel for the man as a human being, but we also have to admit that he wasn’t a reliable source or a serious researcher.
This is crazy. David would definitely not do that. Definitely unexpected if this is true. Something fishy is going on. RIP David.

This is not “another one”. He’s not in the same category as the others, nor is his demise suspicious.
There was some youtube channel that relentlessly mocked the guy for weeks before this i wonder if that had something to do with it.
