I used to write short stories as a kid, like Star Wars fan-fictions, and when I was 13 I thought about trying to write about a hypothetical World War 3 with my incredibly limited understanding of geopolitcs, but anyway.
In 2014, after a devistating One Child policy in China crippiling their birthrates, China began working to unifie what they called Greater Asia, which included only North and South Korea, somehow, Japan, Taiwan (HA!), Mongolia, India (HA!) and Pakistan, probably because these were the only Asian countries I knew of.
At the same time, Egypt and Morocco were working on a unified Africa because of global warming causing the rivers and lakes on the continent to dry up. The entriety of the African continent somehow joined this coalition.
In 2015 the war began, with Pan Africa invading Europe, somehow totally occupying Portugal, Spain and Italy. France, the UK, and Germany were heading up the Eruopean defenses while the United States did a military draft as they sent their active duty to assist in Eruope.
The chaos started by this African-Eruopean War allowed the Greater Asia faction to begin it's plans for world domination. Because of course they were. They began an invasion of Chile which they wanted to use as a staging ground to conquer South America, then slowly work their way north. After the invasion of Chile, Mexico, the US, and Australia sent troops to help retake Chile. In 2017 the Mexico/US/Austrailian forces were able to liberate Chile.
Also in 2017 however, Pan Africa started to encroach and take over Eruope. This caused Russia to send in troops to help defend Europe as well. Pan Africa also began invading Greater Asia territory. This caused am ad-hoc alliance between NATO and Greater Asia where they worked together to stop the onslaught of Pan Africa.
In 2019 Pan Africa was finally defeated. Many thought the war was over, but Greater Aisa, namely China, still had plans on world domination. And that was when they launched an invasion of the United States, catching them off guard after already being exhausted from fighting Pan Africa. The Greater Asia invasion of the US resulted in Alaska, California, Washington and Oregon fell after a few years of fighting. In 2022, NATO was able to expell Greater Asia from the US, and begin their counter offensive into Asia itself. Russia for some reason, helped NATO invade China, ending the war in 2024.
Basically all of this came from my old notes that I found of what I wanted the story to be, so I decided to post it here. I obviously never got it finished, and I did find the old "book" I was writing that I thankfully never finished. I know it doesn't make much sense but to give my 13 year old self the benefit of the doubt, I was planning on writing a "book" for each year of the war.
