  1. I dont know about the source video but this post gives the vibe of some pseudo-brainwash attempt.

    Just because Sumerian text hints at desires buried deep in our core, does not mean we have been programmed by anything other that our way of life and what we as collective humans enjoy. Yes we are free, the only schackles you have are your own, and taxes but yeah…

    Gold is shiny, I think its safe to say that humans like shiny things… Wine is nice, it tastes well and makes me feel warm and fuzzy, so I like it, partying gets me in the same room as multiple beautiful women, which I also happen to like so partying seems kind of a good idea.

  2. Gold is shiny. It doesn’t oxidize or react with other elements, so it doesn’t degrade with time. It is not toxic. It is scarce but relatively easy to extract and work with. There are very, very few elements that tick all those boxes.

    No wonder people in ancient times got obsessed with it.

    And finaly, humans don’t desire “gold”. They desire wealth. Gold is just its most common representation.
