This podcast does an excellent job of dispelling the myth that the Sahara was ever a natural impermeable barrier to Blacks routinely crossing through continental Africa to/from the Mediterranean Sea and Northern regions of the continent in antiquity.

The argument that ancient/classical Africans can be and/or were magically grouped into Northern or white Africans and Sub Saharan or black Africans betrays ignorance of geography, history, biology and politics.

Yup, Plato discusses this at the end of Critias, first telling us that the original race of the Atlanteans was the kin of their founding god (a god from the Levant not Africa) Plato goes on to say:

“when the portion of the god within them began to fade, being much diluted by the mortal element and..”

[121b] “..mingled with it, and the human character came to prevail”

We can see later this founding people group mixed with Sub-Saharan Africans because today’s North Africans are the result of this genetic mixing and this mixing between Sub-Saharan Africans and Levantine people has been dated to have most occurred between around 6000 BC and 5000 BCE.

We also hear of interaction between later Atlanteans and Sub Saharan Africas in the account of Diodorus who says:

“this region is a bone of contention between the Libyans and the Ethiopians, who wage unceasing warfare with each other for its possession.”
