Gorilla Gold Mines Ltd (ASX:GG8) has reported multiple high-grade gold intercepts from growth drilling at its Comet Vale project in Western Australia, reinforcing the potential to expand the Sovereign deposit within its North Kalgoorlie Hub.

Key results from the latest campaign include 10.6 metres at 7.1 grams per ton (g/t) gold from 353 metres in hole STEX148, alongside a standout narrow high-grade intercept of 1.1 metres at 60.2g/t from 260.5 metres in STEX135. Other notable hits include 2.2 metres at 16.2g/t, 3.2 metres at 11.3g/t and 1.9 metres at 12.7g/t gold, highlighting the presence of consistent high-grade mineralisation across the system.

Additional intercepts such as 2.7 metres at 5.6g/t and multiple narrower zones above 9g/t further support the continuity of mineralisation within the Sovereign deposit, which forms part of a broader 1.2Moz resource at 3.7g/t gold across the North Kalgoorlie Hub.

The company said mineralisation is associated with quartz veins and sulphide assemblages within shear zones along lithological contacts, a setting typical of Archean orogenic gold systems in the region.

The Sovereign deposit currently hosts a resource of 410,000 ounces at 4.3g/t gold over a strike length of 1.3 kilometres, with drilling indicating potential to extend beyond 2.5 kilometres as additional parallel lodes are defined.

Recent results continue to demonstrate both grade and scale, with mineralisation remaining open along strike and at depth. Visual interpretations from long-section imagery show multiple lodes extending along the structure, supporting the company’s view of a growing mineralised system.

“Our 2026 exploration campaign is now really moving up a gear as the flow of assay results begins to accelerate, with the cornerstone Sovereign Deposit at Comet Vale delivering multiple impressive high-grade hits,” Gorilla Gold CEO Charles Hughes said.

“Sovereign is the largest and highest-grade individual deposit at Comet Vale. It currently hosts 410,000oz @ 4.3g/t Au over a strike length of 1.3km – with clear potential to grow this resource out well past 2.5km in length.

“Importantly, we’re seeing multiple parallel lodes developing at Sovereign around the contact of two major lithological units with no real indication of where the lodes finish as we get further into the footwall of this contact. That means there is plenty of growth upside here!

“We are also excited to see some really exceptionally high grades from this round of drilling, with intercepts up to two ounces of gold per tonne. That is a great indication of the incredible endowment and growth potential of the broader Comet Vale Project.

“We are firmly on track to deliver further significant resource growth in 2026, with five rigs turning across the North Kalgoorlie Hub and one rig turning at the Vivien Project. Outside of the discovery and definition work at Sovereign, we are currently drilling a number of exciting greenfield targets at Comet Vale. Plus, drilling is ongoing at Mulwarrie, with more assay results imminent.

“With 150,000 metres of drilling planned across our three key projects in 2026, investors can look forward to what we hope will be a transformational period for Gorilla Gold in the coming months.”

The company currently has five rigs operating across the North Kalgoorlie Hub, with additional drilling underway at the Vivien project as part of a broader campaign targeting rapid resource growth and new discoveries.
