All of these pictures they’ve released generally suck and feel more like marketing and propaganda than anything of real value. I’m sure they all realize this trip around the moon was a huge waste of tax payers money.

How far away are they at this point in the pic? My brain can’t capture the scale (duh) but it’s just such a trip.

  3. Absolutely surreal. I wish I’ll get the chance to experience this view just once in my life, I’d give almost anything to see the sky below me and get blinded by the bright blue reflection.

This little rock, in a little corner, in the infinitely extending space, is just so, so absolutely beautiful. And I’d never get tired of the beauty, the poetry, the depth that’s densely packed into a single point of view.

I can’t imagine how surreal of a feeling that would be but also I feel like I would have a whole ‘nother level of homesickness 🥲

This is an absolutely breathtaking photo. I am so happy to be alive to see these. Such a magnificent moment in science, in human achievement, in civilization advancement. All while we fight to ruin it back on that same rock she’s staring it. It’s a surreal and existential breath of fresh air.

When I heard that they were sending a woman to the moon, I was very hopeful that her name would be Alice but nonetheless it’s still amazing .
