The Greenville High School softball Lady Comets continued their outstanding start to the season with a ninth straight victory on Friday.
Playing at home, the GHS squad rolled past Litchfield 15-0 in four innings.
Kaitlyn Lurkins earned the pitching win. In the four-inning shutout, she allowed two hits and four walks, and struck out eight batters.
On offense, Haylee Clark had two hits, including a three-run homer over the center field fence to end the game.
Ava Potthast also had two hits, including a double.  Jana Glisson cracked a double, and also hitting safely were Payton White, Emma Bingham, Lurkins, Zoee Englert, Clare Glisson, and Paige Knebel.
Clark drove in four runs, Potthast posted three RBIs, and White had two.
