Video taken on an iPhone
I’ve debated posting this for a while because sometime the comments are a lot, and ppl have a lot of opinions about Chris. This happened at Contact in the Desert last year. It was the first night we of the conference (not the night he did the sky watch), and a small group of us were chilling on the lawn looking up at the sky. We had satellite and plane tracker apps and were just messing around with those seeing if we could see anything. We saw some fast movers way up there that weren’t on any tracker. It was pretty fun and interesting. Then we get a tap on the shoulder and it’s Chris Bledsoe, and he just points and says “over there” and sure as shit this flashy friend comes floating towards us. It wasn’t on the apps. The light was so bright and colorful, the vid doesn’t do it justice. It looked like it was pulsating. The video quality in the post also isn’t as great as my phone… 🤷🏻♀️ It took me a minute to realize, “oh shit, I should film this”. Anyway, I tried to zoom in and out so you can see altitude. No noise, though idk if I’d hear it with the height and the vibe music in the background. Could it be a drone? Sure, I guess, but if it was I’d love to know what kind and if anyone has a similar video. I’ll also put a still pic in the comments. The night of the sky watch was underwhelming, and I didn’t see anything that night even though some ppl claimed to. Going back this year and bringing my good camera with a zoom lens and night shot capabilities…
Alright, have at it Reddit, do your thing ✌🏼

Argh, can I not post a pic in the comments? It looks like I can only do a link… help! And I just got a comment from the auto bot mod saying this comment has to be 150 characters and have a submission statement? Oh Reddit, I have so much to learn, lol. I guess if this comment gets deleted I’ll just make another post with the picture? I didn’t even post a link so why is it calling it a link post? It’s just a comment. Sheesh. Anyway, blah blah blah. Is this a 150 characters yet?
Personally not a Bledsoe fan, but this is still a cool experience to have.
It’s a bummer how pics and vids never capture the experience fully. I’ve finally had something similar happen and now I’m a lot more sympathetic for blurry videos.
This is really cool. Really interesting colors too.
Appreciate the post.
Thanks for sharing! Your story about the video makes it much more interesting.
any light in the sky needs time date and location with direction and now someone can look online to determine what this is, there is nothing special about this light that is not explained by normal technology in space or the atmosphere. Too many times has Bledsoe been debunked with evidence showing they are looking at normal objects
The rapid color oscillation is textbook behavior for a stars light passing through the atmosphere. I loaded up your date and location in Stellarium. My guess is it’s the star Vega rising out of the Northeast.
See date and location above. Idk about the direction exactly, but I’d say it was moving south westerly from what I remember
Looks like a satellite to me
