Two shutouts were recorded by the Greenville High School softball Lady Comets on Wednesday and Thursday.
The GHS girls topped East Alton-Wood River 9-0 Wednesday.
Kaitlyn Lurkins was the winning pitcher. She struck out seven in five innings.
Emma Bingham, Jana Glisson, Zoee Englert, and Clare Glisson had two hits apiece.
On Thursday, the Lady Comets blanked Altamont 10-0 in five innings.  Credited with the pitching victory was Ava Potthast, who struck out seven.
Leading the offense were Payton White with four hits, Lurkins with three hits and five RBIs, and Haylee Clark with two hits.
