The latest Xbox Partner Preview event brought many announcements. Microsoft’s showcase focused on upcoming games, many of which will be available across the full Xbox ecosystem. There was something for everyone, especially for fans of horror games.

One of the highlights was Alien Deathstorm, a new sci-fi horror FPS developed by Rebellion. The studio behind Sniper Elite and Atomfall is working on a game that mixes first-person action with horror elements, making it a strong fit for fans of the Alien series.

Rebellion Reveals Alien Deathstorm, Launching Day One on Game Pass

Alien Deathstorm takes us to yet another entirely different location. It’s a raw, visceral first-person action horror experience, where second-to-second survival hinges on responding to a monstrous, constantly shifting threat on a storm-blasted off-world colony.

The game takes inspiration from different sources, including classic sci-fi. As Ben Fisher, Head of Design at Rebellion, explained, “We’ve taken influences from everything from Lovecraftian eldritch horror to 1980s VHS sci-fi, so we think that people will be intrigued by what we’ve built.”

This shows that the developers are combining different styles to create a unique atmosphere for the game.

Alien Deathstorm will be released on Xbox Series X|S and PC, and it will be available on Game Pass from day one. The game will also support Xbox Play Anywhere, allowing players to use the same purchase on both console and PC.
