A green fireball streaked across Northern California’s skies.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A green fireball lit up the skies of Northern California overnight.

The American Meteor Society (AMS) confirmed the giant fireball was a meteor, specifically one of three meteorite falls in the last six days. This includes a meteorite in Ohio last Tuesday and one in Houston, Texas on March 21.

Mike Hankey, with AMS, said they had over 200 reports, many with sonic booms.

AMS shared video of the meteor captured through their allsky cameras in the area.
