Solo dev here and honestly a bit nervous posting this because I know this community knows their stuff.
I've been building CASEFILES for the past few months. It pulls from real declassified government sources – CIA FOIA, Project Blue Book, UK MOD, GEIPAN, FBI Vault, AARO – and the AI processes the raw documents into proper investigative dossiers with timelines, witness accounts, evidence analysis and a verdict.
Right now the pipeline is working through close to 15,000 documents. Blue Book alone is massive and will probably take another month to fully process. So what's live is maybe 10% of what will eventually be there, but already enough to dig into.
There's also a weekly community investigation where everyone picks a case and digs in together. You choose your stance – believer, skeptic, or researcher… and contribute your analysis. At the end the AI summarizes what the community found collectively.
Everything is completely free right now. Paid tiers will come later but purely to cover AI and server costs… I genuinely can't fund that solo forever. No profit motive, no data selling, email signup only.
I'd really love feedback from people who actually know these cases… where does the AI get it wrong, what's missing, what cases deserve a deep dive first. This community would know better than anyone.
