Firefly and Comet are the two new ARC enemies added with the Shrouded Sky update in ARC Raiders. These new ARC enemies add a new layer of challenge for players while exploring the Topside. Both of these ARC enemies patrol in the open and get aggressive as soon as they spot a raider, like any other ARC.
However, as they count as the regular or small ARC enemies, they deal a lot more damage than the regular ones. Firefly spews jets of flame on the target, which melts the shield rapidly and does fire damage to the raider. Comet explodes after getting close to its target, causing a big seismic explosion that deals explosive damage. The Firefly does not have a specific spawn location. It spawns randomly on almost every map, and sometimes joins the patrol with Wasps and Hornets. The Hurricane map condition has the highest spawn rate of Fireflies. However, it is also the worst map condition to deal with them due to the low visibility.
The Firefly is an armored drone specialized in close-range engagement, and fighting it in the open is not effective. I personally suggest a map with a lot of accessible buildings to easily tackle the Firefly. In this regard, Buried City is the best map. There are a lot of buildings you can access close to the outdoors. Even if you get detected by a Firefly, you can take cover inside a building to shoot the Firefly down.
To defeat a Firefly, you must use the Heavy Ammo weapons, such as the Anvil (IV) or a Ferro (IV). Both of these weapons have high ARC armor penetration, allowing you to take off the armor easily to target the weak spots. Similar to a Hornet or a Wasp, you must target the thrusters of a Firefly to make it unbalanced and fall. Shooting off any two thrusters will make the Firefly fall to the ground and destroy it. Once it explodes, wait for the fire to go out before you loot the ARC.
Alternatively, you can also use the grenades to take the Firefly out. Use the Showstopper to make it fall to the ground and then start shooting it to destroy it. Moreover, you can use the Wolfpack to destroy it in a blink. However, it is an expensive method and not recommended.

Similar to the Firefly ARC, the Comet does not have a specific spawn location. It also spawns randomly, patrolling the topside. Unlike Firefly, it patrols alone, but due to its big, round, spherical shape, it is easier to recognize.
You can find it patrolling the outdoors on almost every map. A couple of the best maps to find Comet are the Buried City and the Dam Battlegrounds. Search the Marano Park area on Buried City and around the Control Tower area on Dam Battlegrounds to locate Comet. Additionally, you can run the Hurricane map condition to find Comet easily, as it has a high spawn rate on the Hurricane map condition.
To defeat a Comet, use the Anvil (IV) or the IL Toro (IV) Shotgun. As the Comet locks on to you, it will open, revealing the core inside. Target the core with the Anvil or IL Toro to deal damage to the Comet. When it launches towards you and gets close to you, the core will charge rapidly, and the Comet will explode.
While it is charging, it is your moment to shoot the core to break apart the Comet before it explodes. It will take a shot or two at the core to destroy the Comet. If the Comet explodes by you shooting at its core, you will take no damage. However, if the Comet explodes on its own, you will take a ton of damage.
By destroying a Comet, you will see two potential lootable parts. But if the Comet explodes on its own, it will only have one lootable part.
