(Kennedy Space Center, FL) — SpaceX is planning to light up the sky Friday morning after a delay this morning.
The company has plans to launch a Falcon 9 rocket between 6:00 and 10:00 a.m. from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
The rocket will be carrying 29 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit.
This is part of the company’s plan to spread high-speed internet around the world.
The launch was originally scheduled for Thursday morning, but there’s no word on why it was postponed.
Launch conditions tomorrow are 90% go.
Also, NASA will provide an update on its Artemis II mission which will take astronauts on a trip around the moon.
The agency will hold a briefing at Kennedy Space Center at 3 p.m. EDT Thursday.
The briefing will include Dr. Lori Glaze, the deputy associate administrator for NASA’s Exploration Systems Development Mission Directorate; John Honeycutt, chair of Artemis II mission management team; Shawn Quinn, manager of the Exploration Ground Systems Program; and Norm Knight, director of NASA’s Flight Operations Directorate.
The Artemis II mission has experienced numerous delays due to fuel leaks and a helium flow issue in the upper stage of Artemis 2’s Space Launch System (SLS) rocket which has been fixed.
