We just got a tip on the Substack from a local living right by the trailhead. They pointed out that a mobile push notification never went out for the Silver Alert.
We pulled the FEMA WEA database logs to verify. They’re right. Zero mobile alerts were issued in NM that entire weekend. They blasted the missing person flyer to the local news and Facebook, but intentionally bypassed pinging the phones of people actually standing in the search grid.
