Well, I took my fair share of time to share this here on Reddit, but what’s better than to share it on a day when my side of the Earth is blocking the Sun to cause a Total Lunar Eclipse on the other side, hehe 🌞🌏🌑
Anyways, hope you find this post enticing your curiosity for Eclipses. We’re alive at such an interesting point in history where we can experience a variety of them here on Earth and Luna, unlike Mars, where a couple of potatoes pass in front of the Sun, and that’s the best they’ve currently got, lol 🫵🏻🥔
All images of the phases of Luna are captured on Sony α1 with Sony 200-600 G at 600mm; background shot of Taragarh, Ajmer is captured on Sony α7IV with Sony 24-70 GM II at 35mm.
Below contains a further description of this image:
Foreground: A 24-image Total Lunar Eclipse sequence artistically represented in the shape of an Analemma.
Background: A landscape shot of Taragarh, Ajmer blended with the stars from a night in October, 2024, featuring Saturn and stars of Aquarius, the constellation in which this eclipse occurred.
Sequencing Inspiration: My friend Ashwini, @ashwiniaswal on Instagram 🙌🏻
Thanks for being here. Hope you’re enjoying the totality right now, and hope you start chasing ‘em eclipses 🪣📝✅

Very misleading. I mean… nice artpiece, but no representation of how a lunar eclipse works. This is an analemma, the positions of the sun if you take a picture of it for a year at the same time each day. But again, it has nothing to do with a lunar eclipse. If it’s an artwork you should state that in the title.

I don’t think that is how analemma works
