As reported by The Press on Tuesday, Charlotte Hunt, 42, and her son Oscar Lawson, 13, from Bristol have submitted this image to The Press in hopes that readers are able to help them in getting to the bottom of a mystery.
In a photo taken on Lendal Bridge, the pair say they spotted a strange object in the background whilst going through their holiday pictures – a grey blob with two side panels hanging down.

Some commenters believe the mystery object is nothing more than a bird, with Mr Arthur Brown stating: “It’s a bird, a pigeon probably. Now an IFO (identified flying object).”
Meanwhile, Mrs Valentine said: “Google image search says it’s a Rock Dove (or a Le Crueset wine bottle gadget).”
Others put forward more creative explanations, with Civic History saying: “It’s obviously a UFO. It’s unidentified, it’s flying, and it’s an object.”

There were also those who suggested the object could be a plastic bag, with Wondering adding: “Was it a windy day? Looks like it might be one of those thin grey plastic supermarket bags.”
Metalclog agreed, saying: “Was it a bird was it a plane ? No it was Supermarket bag”.
Serious discussion around the possibilities was largely dismissed by Tony Fisher, who said: “It’s not an alien spacecraft because, as has been demonstrated by several eminent physicists, interstellar space travel is impossible due to the laws of physics.”
