Rainbow basically? The water vapour in the sky refracting the light in basically lens flare sorta way and it makes a ring much like a rainbow it a full circle usually and I have no idea what I’m talking about.
It’s a “lunar halo” and is a result of moonlight refracting through high-altitude cirrostratus clouds that contain hexagonal ice crystals. They bend the light at a 22-degree angle which creates a circle.
