Everdale on February 22, 2026 4:47 am Combined some recent subs I took of the M42 (The Great Orion Nebula) with some older footage I had from a few months ago. This is around 6-7 hours of data in total from a Bortle 8 zone. I love coming back to the Orion, I feel like it serves as a good litmus test for me to check improvements in my post-processing skills. [This is my previous attempt at it with a similar amount of data.](https://www.reddit.com/r/spaceporn/comments/1oy22fy/got_my_first_telescope_and_ofc_had_to_take_a_stab/) Stacked in Siril, with Background Extraction and SPCC applied via Naztronomy’s Seestar Script. Used Pixinsight for HDR Multiscale Transform and the rest of the adjustments were done on Davinci Resolve.
