These are images I was able to take using Skynet, thanks to Professor Steve Merriman of Moraine Valley Community College. They were taken for my first Skynet project, which allowed me to explore the lunar surface and learn more about the use of remote telescopes.
This class is titled Astronomy (AST-101). If there is anyone out there in the Chicago area, I definitely recommend it! Professor Merriman provides detailed lecture videos, shares everything he can about each topic, and always revisits concepts that require more explanation. He also teaches Physics and Engineering courses. Great Professor all around!
Even though this post gets me extra credit, I am proud to share my very first astronomy images with this community. I really enjoy the images posted here daily—they keep me curious and make me look forward to the day I can take pictures like these with a high-quality telescope of my own.
