This gives me a rather strange feeling. For a long time we’ve been under the premise that declassification is complicated because of the whole web between the scientific‑military‑industrial complex and the limited power a president or an administration has to reveal the truth. And then one day DJT comes out and says: “Oh yes, I’m going to order that everything we have be declassified and published, because apparently it’s of great interest to many people.”
Just like that, without further complications, they’re going to give us “EVERYTHING.” So where does that leave all those men in the shadows? This makes me wonder: Is the classified information less impactful than everything we’ve been discussing for so long, or will it all turn out to be just a bunch of smoke and mirrors?
