Joining Meir on the crew are NASA astronaut Jack Hathaway, European Space Agency astronaut Sophie Adenot and Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev.Crew-12 will replace four crew members who are cutting their mission short due to a medical issue. The ISS has been operating with three people on board, well below the seven-person staff the space agency desires, since mid-January.Meir and her crew will conduct research, technology demonstrations and maintenance on board the laboratory.
