Taken with stock Nikon d7500, Bortle 4/5
50mm Nikon lens @ f/3.5 and 200iso
iOptron Skyguider
150 x 30s lights, 30 darks, 30 bias
Processed in Siril, dust spots and stars reduced in GIMP
This is the longest exposure time I've done with this lens, and I was pleasantly surprised to see the Witch Head nebula and traces of Barnard's Loop.
I feel like my biggest weakness is post-processing. When I overly stretch the image I can see much more of Barnard's Loop and the H-alpha, and much more nebulosity, however the image becomes noisy and star colors blowout. I'd be interested to see what someone else could bring out of this data.
Is anyone willing to try if I link the original unedited final stack?
