Wow never seen the sphinx from this angle, not even 100% sure it’s a real shot with AI anymore; but from this angle it really does look like the head has to have been carved down from something bigger.
Beautiful perspective. That head just does not fit the size of the body.
dunno, but anyone who thinks it’s a mystery and doesn’t accept that the sphinx was originally Anubis is crazy.
I wasn’t convinced of the Anubis theory until this angle.
From this angle, there’s no fucking way that’s the original head of the sphinx… lion, dog, anything else makes wayyyy more sense than this witch doctor shrunken head ‘thing’ I’m seeing…
You can imagine the sculptors looking at the collapsed head of Anubis and thinking, well we could knock out a head of Pharaoh with what’s left.
They really think that’s the original head
