Stacked with DeepSky Stacker and processed in Photoshop, just hue adjustment and color grading. Difficult to get the purple out of the stars.

Hi everyone, this is my first real attempt at a finished image. I’m having trouble with the blues and purple halos caused by the scope. Any help or criticism would be great. This is my second image ever, and the first one I took seriously.
I think some of the problems came in with your photoshop steps. Without knowing exactly what you did it looks like you’ve gone a bit hard on the contrast and saturation and changed the hue to put in the blue in purple.
With an unmodified dslr, you aren’t going to get the same colours in m42 as you see online. This threw me off when I was starting too.
My advice is to keep the colours a bit more “natural”, dont mess with any individual colour channels or hues and just use gentle curves adjustments with some saturation and you’ll get a better product.
That said its a great image for just starting out and I think you’ve done a really good job.
