Experts are calling a newly-released video captured over Yumbo, Colombia, the clearest UFO footage ever recorded. The UFO sighting reportedly occurred on December 23, 2025, at around 7:33 p.m. A woman named Natalia took the video in a rural area in the Valle deal Cauca region.
While recording the disc-shaped object with a dome, Natalia and another witness reported their Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra phones suddenly powering off.
According to reports, the UFO flew smoothly and controllably with no wings, propellers, blinking lights, or any signs of conventional propulsion. It also reportedly flew low and near high-voltage power lines. People have speculated that electromagnetic interference caused the witnesses’ phones to experience glitches.
UFO investigator and journalist Jaime Maussan recently shared the video with the public. People in the UFO investigative world know Maussan well for his many UFO- and alien-related discoveries.
So far, no one has issued an official statement about what the witness filmed in the video. People have suggested everything from non-human or military technology to a simple drone or CGI as an explanation.
Interest in UFOs has intensified over the past several years
With much discussion these days about the U.S. government possibly releasing some of its UFO files, and the debut of the trailer for the upcoming film Disclosure Day, interest in the topic is perhaps at an all-time high.
“As the footage continues to circulate, it remains unchanged, unaltered, and stubbornly resistant to simple explanations,” Unexplained Mysteries stated in its narration of the Colombia UFO video. “Its clarity has set a new benchmark, prompting many to argue that this is not just another sighting, but a defining moment in the ongoing study of unexplained aerial objects. Whether it represents advanced technology, a non-human craft, or something entirely unknown, the video from Yumbo, Colombia, has left a lasting impression.”
This is the second significant UFO sighting in Colombia over the past year
In April of 2025, a person filmed a sphere-shaped UFO darting back and forth in a zig-zag motion above a city in Colombia. In that footage, the UFO, dubbed the “Bugasphere,” eventually came to a stop and landed in a field.
Shortly thereafter, scientists studying the orb-shaped UFO recovered in Colombia stated they believed aliens had created the object using their own technology. According to a scientist hired by Jaime Maussan to study the orb, someone made it from a single piece with no visible welds or joints.
“It is of artificial origin, in that it shows no evidence of welding, and its internal structure is composed of high-density elements. More testing is needed to establish its origin,” the scientist said.
