It’s been said that Minnesotans should let the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents “do their job”, without obstruction.  And, what is their work?

The Trump Administration has declared that ICE is to remove the “worst of the worst” (criminals) from our streets.  But have not the local police already moved known criminals from our streets into our jails?  Is that why ICE is apprending so few “worst of the worst” because they are not on our streets?  Detaining colored children, women, and otherwise law-abiding bread-winners is tearing families apart — not making our communities safer.

Some have said ICE agents are going after those committing financial fraud.  Are such fraudsters simply roaming our streets?  Would it not be more sensible to dispatch forensic fraud specialists to investigate the thefts?

Then, it may be said that “ICE’s job is to go after aggressive invaders of our sovereign territory”.  So, what justifies Federal agents to wear masks, military gear, and use high-powered weapons?  Why, then, are documented residents swept up in ICE raids, promptly flown to another state, and when ICE is proved wrong in detention, those released must find their own way back home?

In other words, it appears to me we do not have a fully accountable Federal government, regarding immigration and fraud.  It’s “acting first . . . asking questions later,” in which the Department of Homeland Security announces it’ll do its own investigations of their alleged misdeeds (killings) “without the need for any further help” (scrutiny).
