What if Tesla’s work had shaped 20th-century physics instead of Einstein’s?

  1. My theory is that Tesla was a time traveler who was trying to steer us along different energy branch and another faction took him out.

  2. He did have a hand in shaping modern electrical infrastructure, giving us AC power, the induction motor, and general electrical networks overall; as well as demonstrating wireless power and lighting, and is listed, along with Einstein in the The Time List of 100 most significant figures in history.

I don’t think it’s useful to compare the two though, as they worked in vastly difference fields. Tesla was electricity, radio, generation and propagation; where Einstein was theoretical physics – not really technology or work that could be patented or made profit off.
