After reading Urantia I concluded that Adam and Eve were not human but ETs sent to Earth to upgrade the DNA of our seeded and developing species. There was a reptilian race that were supposed to leave the planet at that time and they convinced Eve to share the DNA with them. As a result the whole planet was put into the quarantine and the reptilians got locked in here with us. So definitely a containment exercise.
I think they were here to cull branches of the pre-upgrade species as needed, kind of like farmers, so they could not have ability to form bonds or have empathy, they are designed to be exacting and rational instead. Adamic DNA messed with their design so they could not be used off planet effectively and they could not leave. They didn’t get too much of the DNA for example they still lack ability to have humor or form attachments, if you met any. Humor is an Adamic trait.
But absolutely the Adam and Eve story is about genetics and DNA. No question about it. It’s just hard to explain DNA to a race without any scientific understanding so we got the apple and snake story.
No one was terrified but when it comes to developing intelligent species and planets there are rules in place for a reason, those rules are there based on millennia of planetary seeding experience and when they are not followed, things go awry in the worst ways for that world and that world has to be isolated for a while. It happens rarely but it happens.

If you have been studying “sumerian roots” you would know that Sumerian is a language isolate. It has absolutely nothing to do with Hebrew.
Enki kept the mes, but they were stolen from him by his daughter Inanna. She got him drunk and then took them back to her city. She in turn gifts them to humanity.
There’s actually a different myth where Enki eats ‘forbidden fruit’ that makes him so ill that he almost dies. Ninhursag heals him by creating a deity to soothe different ailing body parts – Ninti was created from his rib.
The serpent in the garden more aligns with trickster deities in mythology, like Inanna, who steal from the gods to give to humanity. Often it’s fire, but sometimes it’s knowledge or storytelling. Hell, even Quetzalcoatl traveled to the underworld to take bones from the god of the dead to create humanity. The bones were the remains of ‘previous versions’ or humans.
The difference in the bible’s version is that the trickster actually stole humanity itself from God.
In the metaphor, The ‘Garden if Eden’ is actually the Earth. We could no longer dwell in the Garden – as a part of nature – because we had been fundamentally altered somehow.
I saw a theory once that fits what you’re saying. God tells Eve He will increase her labor pains. Why is labor worse for humans than most other mammals? We have big heads…and those big heads allow for big brains.

Genesis was written in Biblical Hebrew though right? So the relevant term wouldn’t be Ti, but צֵלָע and as far as I know, it really only means rib or side/flank. Also, I’m pretty sure Ti isn’t the Sumerian word for rib, that would be Șag.

For the rib argument, why do you assume the Sumerian word and its meanings would be the same for the Hebrew? The Hebrew word for rib (tsela צֵלָע) means side and the text is pretty unambiguous. Perhaps the Sumerian version uses some wordplay, but assuming the Hebrew version does over a thousand years later seems like imposing on the text.
The Hebrew word nāḥāš can mean serpent or
snake but could also be given a divine context. I know Dr. Michael Heiser has argued it could be translated as “shining one” and represent a rogue member of Yahweh’s divine council.
The problem with trying to connect Enki as a figure trying to save mankind is that, well, the Genesis text is pretty unambiguous that bad things happen after Adam and Eve sin. The serpent lied about what God said and ended up introducing death and exile from Eden to its human inhabitants. Adam will now how to work hard to grow food, Eve will have painful childbirths, the Cain and Abel episode, and wickedness that spans the Earth with future generations. Not sure that speaks well for the serpent being an Enki figure.
The Sumerian me tradition picture you paint sounds interesting, though I’d be interested to see if you can find a translation where these tablets are used in such a manner. It would seem to me more likely they are a mythological counterpart to the actual tablets we’ve found at Sumerian sites showing administrative records, laws, etc. Just as we have our laws and foundational documents, so do the gods so to speak. Maybe that’s a historical memory later imparted on the myths. Still, is there a story where people are exposed to the me and something radically changes?
Otherwise, in Genesis, the fruit is explained pretty straightforwardly. Adam and Eve receive the knowledge of good and evil, gain moral discernment, and are now bound to their sins by accountability.
The nakedness and sentience angle is a wield one because that doesn’t describe Adam and Eve’s state before the fall at all. Least with Adam we see him walking with God and doing tasks requiring reason like naming all of the animals of creature. If he was just a biological labor bot, why would God task him with that job?
Honestly, trying to layer the Sumerian story over the Hebrew story is shortsighted. Most scholars I think l would agree Genesis, if it’s related to the older Mesopotamian stories at all, is a polemic against them. What things get imported over are there to be criticized and “made right” by the Hebrew version.

The problem is that Sitchin wasn’t a scholar, and he certainly couldn’t read or translate Cuneiform. There are only a couple hundred people on the planet that can do that, and he wasn’t one of them.
