For example, various books and materials describe the smell associated with alien appearances.
- Like rotten fish
- Like burnt electronics
- Like melted plastic
- Like metal
- Like a corpse
- Like ozone
- etc…
At the very least, it's not a pleasant scent like flowers, fruit, food, or perfume that gives us a positive impression. Nor is it an unpleasant smell like body odor from feet or armpits, flatulence, feces, an unwashed dog, garbage, or cat urine as living something.
While materials describing the smell of aliens can occasionally be found, these negative-scented descriptions seem to be the majority.
However, some pleasant scents do exist. Interestingly, artists Joe Merrell and Christopher Gordon created a perfume called “Abduction” based on testimonies from abduction experiencers. (Some abduction experiencers who smelled this perfume reportedly reacted with responses ranging from ‘familiar’ to “uncomfortably similar.”)

It’s a pretty serious topic, but honestly, using Soyjak’s image was a dumb idea.
I can’t list any sources whatsoever but the only times I can remember hearing or reading anyone’s accounts about how aliens smell it was a horrible odor. Similar to the smell of shit.
Somewhere in this hazy memory was someone proposing that the reason they smell like shit was because they don’t have our same anatomy (no butthole) and they just sweat it out through their pores. Anyway, one particular species out there apparently smells like shit.
