This is exactly what I think about every time I see people expressing immediate fear about shadow beings. Lile is the fear caused by them actually as the source, or is it our lack of understanding that generates fear as an instinct.

Ya know I saw a void-like entity in a dream, reacted in as much fear and violence as possible. Reflected on it for months because it was among the most intense and weird dreams of my life. Fast forward and I see it while on a heavy dose of mushrooms. This time I chose to acknowledge its presence but not engage, and it just went away.
