Location: Shasta County, Ca

I have been seeing the same strange blinking/color changing ball of light both stationary and moving for years now. I never intentionally look for it, the sparkle catches my eye. I don’t know what to make of it. It has appeared closer and farther away at times. What makes this time unusual is that something else appeared as I was focused on the blinking object. I have no idea what it was….. thoughts?

I saw the exact same thing moving through the sky in Shasta County, Ca Sept 12 2024. A triangular, seemingly shapeshifting ball of light shooting through the sky. Check it out: https://www.reddit.com/r/UFOs/s/h7C9gA0gwt

Other sighting of the same/similar phenomenon. I attribute the major differences to camera quality/ distance filmed.

  1. This thing was everywhere above my house in central MA in 2024/2025. Cool and confusing all at one time

I don’t see anything unusual in this image. The flickering and changes in color can be caused by identification lights, or the shimmering of a star. As for the interaction you mention, I don’t see anything that can be hard confirmed as a separate object in the extreme zoom. Notice how the blackness of the night sky itself moves and changes colors as the camera does its best to record despite the conditions.

I’m also not sure how you can call it a ball of light, as opposed to an object emitting a light.

Sirius is a very common culprit, so I would guess that that’s what you’re looking at here for the stationary object at least. At 12:19 am on January 25 as viewed from San Francisco, Sirius was southwest at about the same altitude as the object in your video: https://imgur.com/a/pJN9rEf

Can you specify which direction you were facing at the time?

As for the other fast moving objects in your video, as a guess, they look like bugs being illuminated by nearby lights.

To be fair the green red lights look pretty aviation standard. But Im not going to diminish this post because I spent over half an hour watching something similar in southern UK last autumn around 4am Too low to be celestial, too still to be man made, zero sound. Even my oh so cynical partner was at a loss to explain it.
