That was a 3hr timelapse. This is a planet or the moon.

Moon on Jan 23 is waxing crescent, positioned higher (not ground-level) and in different azimuth (e.g., south-east trajectory). Reddit likely confuses it with common crescent sightings.[lunaf +2]
It is most likely Saturn and Neptune might be visible but the main glowing thing in the image most likely is Saturn.

I’m going to be honest it looks like a star. The time frame almost fits too. Pretty cool catch either way. I would have asked too.

I worked with this older guy from Texas a few years ago. We were working the night shift on a well site in West Texas. I commented that the stars look amazing out here. He quickly corrected me and told me all the lights in the sky are “satellites not stars idiot”
Just a random memory that was sparked for no related reason…..

It just scared my mother and I was just trying to verify what it was. Her camera has never alerted to anything in the sky or in space before.

It’s just strange that the camera would pick it up. I would watch the camera every night if I would expect to commonly see such alerts.

Yeah, that’s the moon

Yes I apologize everyone—I am new at trying to analyze these sets of information. AI was also not having the easiest time trying to figure it out, but you all have taught me a lot. I mean I guess the moon is cool, but aliens definitely would have been more cool. I just expected to moon to appear differently but it is a low quality 30 fps camera so I guess it makes sense.

I hope to learn more from you all in the future and I hope aliens are here—And I hope in my life time humanity would be accepted by them.

I tried to verify if it was a starlink satellite and there was supposed to be a viewing for 6 minutes not 2 hours. I need help identifying this
pretty sure thats the moon. It would have set at about 9.15pm towards the west,

My camera is in pembroke Kentucky and it is facing about 250* west.
I checked Stellarium from your location looking in the direction you suggested, the Moon perfectly lines up with this observation.
