In a statement shared on his Instagram story, the eldest son of Sir David and Victoria Beckham accused his parents of trying to “ruin” his relationship with his wife.
He added that he does “not want to reconcile with my family”.
Brooklyn Beckham breaks silence on feud with parents
The 26-year-old, who married Nicola in 2022, wrote: “I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private.
“Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.”
Mr Beckham said he is “not being controlled, adding: “I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”
He accused his parents of prioritising “brand Beckham” and managing media narratives for most of his life.
He further alleged that his parents tried to pressure him into signing away the rights to his name before the wedding, claiming this would have impacted his wife and any future children.
He also claimed that Victoria Beckham cancelled making Nicola’s dress at the “eleventh hour,” forcing her to find a replacement “urgently.”
During wedding planning, he said his mother called him “evil” for wanting both of their grandmothers seated at their table.

Mr Beckham also claimed that his mother “hijacked” his first dance with Nicola during the wedding, describing the incident as deeply humiliating.
He said: “I had never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.”
The statement included further allegations that his wife was “disrespected” by the family and not invited to Sir David Beckham’s 50th birthday.
He wrote: “My family values public promotion and endorsements above all else.
“Brand Beckham comes first.
“Family ‘love’ is decided by how much you post on social media, or how quickly you drop everything to show up and pose for a family photo opp, even if it’s at the expense of our professional obligations.”
Brooklyn denies wife Nicola controls him
Addressing speculation that his wife controls him, he firmly denied it, saying: “The narrative that my wife controls me is completely backwards.
“I have been controlled by my parents for most of my life.”
He said the distance had given him a sense of freedom.
He said: “I grew up with overwhelming anxiety.
“For the first time in my life, since stepping away from my family, that anxiety has disappeared.
“I wake up every morning grateful for the life I chose and have found peace and relief.”
Brooklyn has previously dabbled in photography and cooking, having released a book of snapshots called What I See in 2017 and a hot sauce brand called Cloud 23.
He has also posted videos of his cooking to social media.
Sir David and Lady Beckham, who are yet to respond, have been contacted for comment.
