I recently got a tracker i’m using the skywatcher star adventurer GTI.

dslr : canon mark4 5D

Lens : canon f2.8 70-200mm

exposure time : 13 min

shots : 26 shots x 30 seconds

If any editing tips please let me know i’m very knew. I think my next target is andromeda 🙏

  1. Since you are using a tracker you can probably do longer light frames than 30s, you can get an intervalometer to do so

  2. I would try for some 30-60 sec shoots. But your core looks good. It is hard to not blow the core out on M42. It’s so bright. Your color looks great, stars are nicely shaped and framing is perfect. Overall great job.

    Great shot, well composed and you’ve got good detail there in the core which is difficult. Next step is more data: you’ve got 13 minutes there, try an hour, it’ll knock your socks off
