
Is my equipement, the camera is a Nikon d5300, with a 80-400mm f4.5 objective.
I use a old eq.4 mount, with no polar viewfounder. No Goto, motorised, but full manual.
I have a automatic trigger for the long exposure.
A red headlamp. Compass to found the perfect angle (since I don't have a polar scope).
I have two 16Gb memory card.

For moon photography 1/4000s is extremely fast mixed with iso 400, seems like lens is wide open, try using f8 -f11 iso 100-200 and shutter anywhere from 200-400 to get correct exposure. That’ll give the best possible sharpness and contrast
