Ok, let me start by saying: I’m no expert here. I’ve been thinking a lot about what a real life tridactyl would’ve looked like (for those that have missed out I’ll reference Jesse Michael’s episode on the Peru mummies from a few months back below). So I wonder – how complex would it be to recreate one? My understanding is that having access to certain face measurements (skull shape, brow ridges, jaw size, nasal cavity and teeth) should be sufficient to get a close representation – its basically the same method used in forensic crime investigations. But I’m guessing that’s not all it. Is it even realistic that with the right measurements (from the mummies) an amateur can reconstruct an approximation of a living tridactyl?
