I think Spielberg knows more then what we think. With this movie releasing I think they are getting everyone ready for when it happens. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the information in this upcoming movie it’s based from real world events that yet are unknown to us.

I don’t know if that is true or not, nor will I waste time looking into it, but I would guess people are gullible enough to believe anything and NASA didn’t want to have to deal with the rabble in the aftermath.

Hollywood has been part of slow drip disclosure since the beginning.

Could it be that NASA didn’t want a populace believing in false narratives and fantasies, undermining the agency’s work and reputation?
Nah, they fucking have ET in their basement eating ramen and playing fornite all day until they figure out what to do with him.

Fwiw I’m not dismissing the whole ufo topic, just this theory. Movies have a lot of influence and people start believing all sorts, as evidenced by the slop being spammed to this sub since Spielberg’s trailer dropped yesterday.

I haven’t seen any compelling evidence that this is anything other than another big budget spielberg film that exists primarily to make a studio and its investors a lot of money

The film’s announcement is being made now to divert attention from the documentary. Nothing new; Hollywood is working to spread misinformation, turning real information that could change the world into harmless fiction. If we continue to promote this illusion, we’ll be back to green aliens and laughs.

I think they mainly wrote the letter because Jaws convinced so many people around the world that there were sharks in toilets and bathtubs , not just in the oceans and rivers. They were afraid some kind of epidemic would happen with UFOs.*

So this movie was his next after jaws?
There’s next level irony here.
