…but it’d still scare people too much, if it’s the information they kept out of TAOD for being too scary. It’s the same information. So why would releasing a sequel make that information suddenly ~~profitable~~ palatable?
I suppose you might argue that time will have passed and the information presented in TAOD would be digested and normalised enough to make this cut-from-TAOD information ontologically-not-shocking to the public, but it doesn’t feel right to me.

Nobody is going to freak out. Most people won’t even believe it unless they provide physical evidence. People will either believe or they won’t believe, then they’ll go about their day.
If NHI reveal themselves on the lawn of the White House? Yeah, people will freak out. If NHI reveal their ships in the skies above our cities? Yes, people will freak out. But if people just talk about stuff on a movie streaming on Amazon, nobody is going to freak out. Not one person on Earth.

Greer many many years ago at Denver University and all he wanted to do was sell stuff. I find UFOs really interesting but the whole mainstream UFOLOGY just has this carny-vibe so similar to pro wrestling that it’s funny at this point
