So there has been a narrative that there will be a common enemy that will unite the world to go against it. Former US President Ronald Reagan delivered a speech in the UN General Assembly in 1987 and stated that by having a common Alien threat would unite the world.

If you think about it, there has been a pattern in the past with the same narrative of “common enemy”. Examples like the virus Covid 19, terrorism such as Saddam Hussein which led to the war in Iraq and Gaddafi in Libya, etc.
The common enemy rhetoric is often used to generally promote world unity against a shared global threat.
It reminds me of the sci-fi film XMEN where it showed humans bought into the fear narrative that the others are dangerous and to be feared then humans started hunting them down.
My question leads to this:
When disclosure happens in the near future, what if the common enemy becomes the NHIs or hybrids living or walking among us? What if this leads to depopulation planning?
