Robert Powell discusses his new paper, "Evolving Paradigms in the Search for Advanced Extraterrestrial Intelligence", which argues the UAP phenomenon requires a paradigm shift in how SETI searches for advanced life beyond Earth.
Robert Powell is an Executive Board Member and Founding Member of the Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies (SCU). Robert has been studying the UAP phenomenon since 2007, previously served as Director of Research at MUFON, and helped create MUFON's Science Review Board.
He’s the co-author of the 600-page history UFOs and Government: A Historical Inquiry, the children's book The Truth About UFOs: A Scientific Perspective, and UFOs: A Scientist Explains What We Know (And Don’t Know), along with numerous technical papers on landmark cases like the 2008 Stephenville, TX incident, the 2013 Aguadilla Puerto Rico video, and the 2004 Nimitz encounter.
Robert also has a background in chemistry and semiconductor engineering, including leading R&D teams that developed flash memory at AMD and holding multiple nanotechnology patents.
